Adrienne Reynoso, better known as Dricasso is an artist born and raised on the west side of LB. She says she has been painting since last year, but drawing forever and believes she may have picked it up in a past life. Painting is her preferred creative means, because their are more elements to painting. She enjoys painting because she can paint pieces on big scales and can cover larger surfaces. Another aspect that draws her toward painting over drawing is the variety of different tools used, and mixing of colors to create certain looks that pencil may not capture. Pop surrealism is one of the styles she has fallen in love with recently and it has inspired her to incorporate new things in her work that the public will see soon. As far a time frame of completion for her works Dricasso says it's all in the feeling. She feels that a majority of her pieces could use a little work but she has moved on to something new, and she wants to use her unfinished works from 2015 on to track her progress. 2016 has been an eventful year for Dricasso from her first public display of her work at our art show earlier this year, to being able to get her paintings to big names like Erykah Badu, Pharrell, and even have her work in Future's pop up shop on Fairfax! Currently Dricasso is working on an ASAP Mob tribute piece that the public can expect to see complete very soon! To stay updated follow her on IG/Twitter, and check out some of her work below.
