Ballin Across The Globe

Brittany Wilson has taken her talents from the Funkhouse to Sweden with a stop at the Coors Events Center in between, and even though the scenery has changed her level of play has stayed pretty consistent seeing nothing but an increase in her numbers as she has advanced to the professional level. In her senior year she averaged 8pts, 2asts, and 2stls per game, and was named co-MVP of the Moore League, a McDonalds All-American candidate, and recorded a phenomenal 27pt performance Summit High School. After high school Wilson took her talents to the University of Colorado where she earned a starting spot at the tail end of her first season, and in her sophomore season she put on a show scoring in double figures 16 times 5 of which were in the postseason, and was ranked 2nd on her team in assists (63), and steals (43). She really turned it on in the Pac-12 tournament where she averaged 19ppg, and shot 60% from beyond the arc! Talk about scorching the competition! Wilson's junior year was yet another year of defensive success earning all defensive team honors, and ranking as one of the top defensive players in the Pac-12 recording another 43 steal season, and to go along with those steals she rejected 13 shots! On top of the stellar defensive year she had Wilson chalked up 11 double figure games that season as well. Her final year as a Buff she lead her team in steals (42), and was 2nd in assists (93) Wilson also averaged 10ppg while shooting 73% from the free throw line. She had a big game agains Iowa scoring a then career high 26pts, one of many great performances that led to her reaching 1,000 career points! Wilson now plays overseas in Sweden where she averages 12ppg, 3rpg, 2.6stls, and 1.8asts, and has recorded a new career high in points against Sallèn (33). Her road to professional basketball has not been a clear straight forward path in fact she has dealt with multiple injuries, and continues to bounce back stronger, and keep her play at a high level. We hope she continues her stellar play and earns her way into some Swedish sponsorship deals, or even a shot at the WNBA! Keep it up Brittany the city is definitely behind you!
